Myrtle
Myrtle is an aromatic plant widespread in Sardinia and Corsica. Generally present within the Mediterranean area, this small shrub belongs to the family of Myrtaceae and has long been used for its various beneficial properties ranging from improving digestive activity (thanks to astringent properties) to balsamic and anti-inflammatory action.
IN YOUR CUISINE: Excellent to use for infusions and for the preparation of liqueurs. In Sardinia, it is widely used for the "porceddu".
